Keeping beautiful hair beautiful
A premium wig or sheitel is an investment. Cared for gently, it will reward you for years. These are the essentials — your personal routine is refined together at your final fitting.
A little care, a lot longer life
Most of what keeps a wig or sheitel beautiful is simple and consistent: gentle handling, the right products, and a professional check-in now and then. Here's what we walk through at every fitting.
Brushing
Brush gently from the ends upward with a soft, wig-appropriate brush, supporting the hair as you go. Never brush from the cap down through a knot.
Washing
Wash only when needed, with lukewarm water and a gentle sulfate-free shampoo, moving in one direction. Condition mid-length to ends, keeping product away from the cap and knots.
Drying
Blot — never wring — and let the piece air-dry on a stand away from direct heat and sunlight. Style only once fully dry.
Heat styling
Use low, controlled heat sparingly and always with protection. When in doubt, let us do it: a professional set lasts longer and stresses the hair less.
Storage
Store on a stand, or tucked into the silk drawstring bag that comes with your piece, away from sunlight, steam, and perfume. For longer storage, loosely cover and keep the piece dry and cool.
Travel
Travel with the piece on a folding stand or carefully packed in its box, brushed and loosely secured. Never at the bottom of a suitcase.
Professional refresh
Bring your piece in periodically for a professional wash, set, and check. Small repairs caught early keep a sheitel looking new.
Every Shaynelle piece leaves with a written care card. Questions between visits are always welcome.
A card, not a guess
Every piece leaves the boutique with its own printed care card — the essentials at a glance, so the routine we walk through together is always close at hand.
A soft place to rest
Every piece comes home with its own silk drawstring bag — breathable, gentle, and simple. Between wears, it's the easiest way to keep hair protected from dust, light, and friction.
